Location: Inside Pertama Complex, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahaman, Kuala Lumpur, next to SOGO KL
Pertama Complex is one of the earlier or known as the first shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur. It located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, in a high density traffic area, nearby the well known Sultan Abdul Samad Building at Merdeka Square and Sogo Shopping Mall. In Pertama Complex, there are many shops that are selling sportswear, photographic equipments, handphone, shoes, trophies, watches, some branded jeans and clothing at an affordable prices. You may drive and park at the Pertama Complex parking lot or get there by public transport: Star LRT (Rapid KL – Ampang Line), get down at Bandaraya station, Pertama Complex is just next to SOGO shopping mall.
Restaurant Ah Chuan is located at the top floor inside the Pertama Complex. Usually the restaurant will be crowded with people during lunch time 12pm to 2pm, as there are many offices, especially two large banks (UOB and CIMB headquarter) located nearby Pertama Complex. Previously I worked nearby the complex, thus this restaurant is one of my best choice for lunch, as it sell variety of foods: rice, porridge, and different kind of noodles.
Economy rice – have lots of choices.
Bitter Melon Fish Ball Glass Noodles
Bitter Melon Fish Meat Glass Noodles
Something special to me, bitter melon in soup with noodles. You may choose in meehun, mee or Teared Noodles (板面). Although there are lot of bitter melon, but the soup was not bitter at all. There are bitter melon, fish meat, pork ball, eggs inside this bowl of noodles. Bitter melon is quite good for health, for those who like bitter melon may try on this.
Tomyam Glass Noodles
Tomyam Glass Noodles
Every time I smell its tomyam, I will certainly salivate because it is my favourite. Compare with other restaurant, Ah Chuan’s Tomyam has more ingrediants: Pork ball, chicken meat, yuba, mushroom and tomatoes. Not every restaurant serve Tomyam with glass noodles, for my personal preference, glass noodles really suit well with tomyam soup. Its tomyam soup taste sour and spicy, feel good after having this bowl of tomyam noodles.
Why the tomyam noodles so spicy? See how many big chilies I found in the soup.
