A nice and romantic atmosphere in the restaurant, just that the seat that we were sitting is a bit dirty on the day we visited.
DSC02125
They provide cheese powder on the table, which is my favourite. Too bad, I was not ordering pizza or spaghetti on that day.

Large cup of drinks, of course, with the higher price paid.

CREMA DI FUNGHI   RM 15
Cream of mushroom topped with cream and croutons. A good starter, tasty soup served with a slice of bread. I like this soup but is a bit too much for me, but is perfect for two to share.
DSC02135
FILETTO DI MANZO   RM 55
Grilled beef tenderloin served with anchovies and garlic jus, mashed potato and grilled vegetables.
DSC02134
RISOTTO AL NERO DI SEPPIA    RM 37
This is Italian rice braised in a black ink squid stew, topped with crispy tiger prawn. As there is no squid on that day, so they have changed it to mushrooms. Moderate rating, as I feel the taste is weird, I guess is because of the mushroom not suite with the tiger prawn and rice.
Overall, the foods are acceptable, and there is only few Italian restaurant in Miri, so Fratini’s Restaurant will be one of the good choice for those who like to have Italian foods.

Nasi Lemak @ NagaLiar, Miri

DSC00032

NagaLiar located at Jalan Merpati, opposite Imperial Hotel, famous with its nasi lemak.

DSC00034

NagaLiar is using self service practice, where customers need to order and pay at the counter and it’s business hour is from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm

DSC00035

Bubur kacang hijau RM 1.80

Quite tasty, but I heard that its Bubur ChaCha is much better, too bad it was unavailable on the day I visited.

DSC00038

Nasi Rendang Kambing RM 5.30

What have we here, of course, rendang, fried egg, some sour vege, plus salted fish. What I disappointed was, I thought I will be given some “Papadam” biscuit as picture shown in the menu board, instead of fried egg.

DSC00036

Nasi Lemak Regular RM 3.80

A normal nasi lemak, plus a salted fish, fried egg and chicken wing. Same as Nasi Rendang Kambing, the rice has santan smell, but not strong.

Heard friend said NagaLiar nasi lemak is super yummy, but as far as I experience, it is just normal nasi lemak, maybe is because I had try nasi lemak that is much more yummy than NagaLiar in Kuala Lumpur.

Christmas Trip in Prague (2)

After having breakfast in hotel, my friends and I had joined the local Orange Umbrella one day Prague Walking Tours.

We got to know this tour from the hotel lobby, and it’s Explorer tour cost 1000 CZK for an adult and 950 CZK for student. This price includes: the walk, the heated boat trip, a snack, lunch, drinks, entrance fees, coloured map of Prague and of course super guide. To join this walking tour, we just need to wait and look for the tour guide with orange umbrella sign at the Astronomical clock in Old Town Square.

This clock is quite meticulous and complicated, as it composed of three main components: The astronomical dial, position of the sun and moon and some other astronomical details like zodiacal ring, and also the time scale, calendar and some moving figures coming out when time reached.

The Church of Our Lady Before Týn, is an obvious and dominant feature in the Old Town. It has been the main church in Prague since 14th century.

It called as Powder Gate as it was used as a storehouse for gunpowder in 18th century. To reach to the Prague Royal place, The Powder Gate act as the starting point which lead through the Old Town over the Charles Bridge, through the Lesser Town and finally go up to the hill to reach to the Prague Castle.

On the Charles Bridge, there are about 30 statues mounted on the two side of the Charles Bridge, which had established for more than four century. The local people believe that if a person can touch on the bronze carve on the statues, it can bring him or her some good luck. Unfortunately, I was unable to put my both hand on the carve at the same time --- well, my hand not enough long. We had a boat ride with some hot refreshments that served on boat. Below are some of the view from the boat:

Mee Suah @ Hee Bing in Miri

DSC00684
Hee Bing 喜宾楼茶室, situated at Jalan Helenium, opposite Imperial Mall area. Heard that there is red wine chicken soup mee suah selling in this restaurant, so I thought give it a try.

DSC00687
Although it is using red wine, but it’s taste moderate, no taste of chicken soup and a bit salty. The chicken meat was too dry and the mee suah was starchy with no elastic. Well, for me a good chicken soup mee suah, not just the taste of the soup is important, but also the quality of the mee suah, which is the main ingredient to determine how good the chicken soup mee suah will be.
