DSC00684
Hee Bing 喜宾楼茶室, situated at Jalan Helenium, opposite Imperial Mall area. Heard that there is red wine chicken soup mee suah selling in this restaurant, so I thought give it a try.

Although it is using red wine, but it’s taste moderate, no taste of chicken soup and a bit salty. The chicken meat was too dry and the mee suah was starchy with no elastic. Well, for me a good chicken soup mee suah, not just the taste of the soup is important, but also the quality of the mee suah, which is the main ingredient to determine how good the chicken soup mee suah will be.

Mee Suah @ New Lutong Cafe

DSC00578

New Lutong Cafe located in Lutong area, and every time I went there surely I will order Chicken soup Mee Suah. This restaurant’s mee suah is one of the best mee suah that I have ever ate.

The main ingredients, of course is chicken, mushroom, and wolfberries

I like the soup as it really taste good with wolfberries and some little red wine. There is usually 3 pieces of big chicken meat and the meat are soft, not as others which the meat dry after long hours cook. Just that the chicken mee suah may slightly bit of expensive compare other restaurant, RM 5.00, but is worth for my opinion.

Everwin Kopitiam – Laksa & Chicken Mee Suah

3-star2

DSC00660

Laksa and mee suah always are our very first favourite foods and we would want to try in different place, to look for the best mee suah in Sarawak.

Located in Sarikei, within the Everwin Supermarket shop lots -- Everwin Kopitiam 永胜咖啡店. There are many stalls inside the kopitiam, and this time we had try on this: Maggie Stall.

Well, you can see from the photo, there was 2 big prawn, quite fresh plus some fish cakes and slices of fried egg. That is most of the laksa looks like. I would say ok for this, soup taste good, maybe because I like santan.

Chicken Mee Suah, a red vine mee suah!! Big mushroom and soup tast e good too, but the chicken's meat was a bit dry.

The price for these meal:

Laksa  RM4.00

Mee Suah RM 4.50

What I would like to mention here is, the price was a bit of expensive. Kind of surprise, as I though Sarikei's cost of living is lower than Miri, maybe different stall price differently.
